I thought this was a good poem to choose. I enjoyed the passion with which Jones was able to describe this internal system with such great detail. As you mentioned it is good that she can show such a mastery of medical jargon while still maintaining largely easy to understand diction. I found that this gave her an interesting persona that combined passion for the subject, amazement at a marvel of nature, and a complete understanding of its inner workings. It is rare that we can look so closely at something like singing in a nearly post-metaphysical light and still distill the beauty of the topic. in my opinion that is what Jones did here. Very good post!
